Collaborative Event at Johns Hopkins University to celebrate Asian culture
When Ryo recognized a large Asian population at the Johns Hopkins University, yet there are no major platforms to celebrate the cultural roots, he founded the Inter Asian Cultural Expo (IACE) with a group of students from JHU, Peabody, and Maryland Institute College of Art. IACE is the platform for the students from different institutions and the community of Baltimore to collaborate and celebrate Asian art and music through the art expo, musical performances, dance performances, film, and orchestral performance. Ryo led the event as an event director and curator for 3 years and conducted multiple premieres of student composers and culturally diverse program featuring Asian composers from various regions.
